Some time ago I had a chance to have a talk and interview my friend, training partner and BJJ famous Black Belt, Helio "Soneca" Moreira. Going over all his years of training, his experience in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, his relationship with many members of the Gracie Family and his many years fighting BJJ in the very beginning of the sport's popularity.

In this Techniques Review I will be going over The Fundaments of The Open Guard, showing techniques from the Open Guard for Beginners DVD. I will cover the key elements to playing the Open Guard game, going over techniques and pointers to excell in this area of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I will be teaching 2 Open Guard techniques through captioned pictures in a detail oriented manner.

In this BJJ techniques review I am going over Back Attacks techniques, the techniques are from my DVD- Extreme Back Attacks, which I created because is a part of The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu game that I like and feel comfortable playing and because I felt BJJ practitioners were lacking on Back Attacks or missing on great opportunities to captalize on their opponent's mistakes. So in this I show four Back Attack techniques in a detailed manner through pictures and a video, plus I will be going over key points to using this position and making the best of it.

People start practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for many different reasons, self defense, fitness, recreation, competition or even fight professionaly in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).
